For the past five years, absolution has
been the premier Instructor Training Facility
for Pilates instructors in Southern California,
producing some of the most requested Pilates
instructors in Los Angeles.
Our
New York Style Certification is recognized
nationally, and we are proud to have trainees
employed all over the world. Some work with
professional athletes, some with doctors
or surgeons. Although many leave to open
studios elsewhere, many of them stay right
here with us (which is why we’ve grown
into our new beautiful space).
We
offer different levels of certification,
and Pilates and yoga enthusiasts actually
take our Instructor Training course simply
to master Pilates themselves. The demand
for our trainees has been so overwhelming
that we can encourage trainees to begin
teaching as apprentices at absolution during
their certification.
This allows trainees to experience teaching
in a supportive environment and to earn
money during the course, which works for
everybody. Our Instructor certification
program is rigorous, thorough, and challenging,
but is also flexible and many of our trainees
have full-time jobs during the course itself.
If you are interested in expanding your
practice to include Pilates, please contact
us to learn more about our program and how
we can help support your desire to grow
your experience.
At absolution, you’ll be coached one-on-one
by a certified Pilates instructor (for more
on certification click here) who will guide
you through a series of movements designed
to help your body develop a super strong
torso, or as we say in the Pilates world,
a “powerhouse”.
The
machines are a lot of fun and definitely
add an edge of excitement and technique
to a Pilates workout, however, if wicked-looking
machinery is not your thing, Pilates can
also be done “on the mat”, using
your body as resistance weight. Both techniques
are effective.
You do not need machines to achieve the
Pilates-defined tummy you crave…more
important is your willingness to do Pilates
consistently. Some of our clients like to
“mix it up” with both the machines
and the mat classes, which is a great way
to stay in top form.
