Absolution Teacher Training: Introduction
Our
comprehensive program has been carefully
designed so you can become an intuitive,
communicative, confident teacher with a
strong technical eye. Through our training
program, you will learn all the exercises
included in the five classic levels of Pilates,
on all the equipment developed by Joseph
Pilates. You will study the basic principles
of Pilates, and how these principles relate
to movement and injury, so that your understanding
of the exercises and how they work together
is thorough and complete. You will also
learn appropriate safety and maintenance
on all the equipment.
Your
training will focus on the broad picture
of the Pilates exercise system and how it
can most effectively help your clients,
as well as the detail and technique of each
exercise and why it is important. As a Pilates
instructor, you will be exposed to a vast
array of client scenarios: working with
clients with different body types, clients
who are injured, pregnant, and those who
have special needs. You will learn how to
progress a client through the system with
respect to all of these situations. Ultimately,
as a Pilates Teacher, you will be able to
apply what you have learned regardless of
how you choose to continue your practice.
Our
staff of
instructors will be your support
team, to answer your questions and to encourage
you to be the best teacher you can be. We
believe in learning through participation.
In keeping with this philosophy, you will
be able to start apprentice teaching professionally
after completing Level II. As long as you
have the willingness, desire and dedication
to learn, you have the potential to become
an extraordinary instructor.
In this section, you will find all
